Let’s face it – pun intended – skincare can be overwhelming! Where to even begin? With so many products out there, and so many different skin types, it may be hard to know what skincare routine is right for you. We’ve teamed up with True Botanicals to find the perfect skincare routine for all different skin types.

First, let’s start with the basic steps.

Toners

  • Toners deliver nutrients and help remove dead skin cells.
  • Examples: Rose water or green tea help calm irritation and reduce redness.
  • Apply with fresh clean hands, rather than a cotton pad, to maximize your product.

Serums

  • Serums contain concentrated doses of ingredients for specific uses.
  • Examples: Hyaluronic acid boosts skin hydration, Vitamin C reduces dark spots and brightens skin, and Retinol stimulates collagen production.

Oils

  • Skincare oils are meant to balance the natural oils our skin produces, and add an extra layer of protection and moisture.
  • Examples: Jojoba oil and marula oil help with acne prone skin by balancing out sebum production. Argan oil is great for all skin types. It’s not greasy and can be used to help treat eczema or rosacea.

Eye Creams

  • Eye creams are specifically formulated for the sensitive and delicate skin around the eyes.
  • Apply it as gently as possible to help with dark circles, puffiness, aging, or wrinkles.

After washing your face, apply products from lightest to thickest. Start with serums or oils, then move your way up to the thickest products, like moisturizers and sunscreen.
