This Giving Tuesday, Splendid Spoon wants to nourish those that are using their time and energy to help others - we know how hard it can be to live a healthy life when the to-do list is a mile long, and often the folks giving the most of themselves are the first to neglect their own health and energy.

We asked you, our community, for help to nominate your favorite non-profit or community organizations. We received so many incredible nominations and look forward to supporting as many groups as we can over the next year.

We are so glad to share the three organizations who have been chosen to receive 3 months worth of meals to help fuel their staff and volunteers. Check out these groups this Giving Tuesday and donate if you are able, or share their missions within your community!

Angels Foster Family Network

Angels Foster Family Network is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing safe, stable, loving homes for infants and toddlers in foster care throughout San Diego County whose mission is to passionately and collaboratively care for children five and younger with diverse and exceptional families who dedicate themselves to each child’s wellbeing.

“This is a wonderful organization that prepares, supports, and encourages families who are fostering children in need.”

Experience Camps

Experience Camps, founded in 2009, is a national, no-cost program for grieving children who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling or primary caregiver. Their one-week, overnight summer camp, year-round programs, and content help to reframe the experience of grief, and empower kids with the necessary coping skills to move forward with their lives.

“The friendships, activities, and counseling are life changing. The camp serves all ages, has separate camps for boys and girls, is held in multiple states, each year. There is no better program. Period.“

Center for Reproductive Rights

The Center for Reproductive Rights is a global human rights organization of lawyers and advocates who ensure reproductive rights are protected in law as fundamental human rights for the dignity, equality, health, and well-being of every person.

“They work on the ground to protect women's rights on a policy level.”
